Expired Medication

On the 02 Nov 2013 i went to Clicks with a prescription from my doctor. I drank one pill on Saturday as per instruction but then at night I got more sick and did not understsnd what was happening to me, i was feeling drowsy and nauseous. On Sunday before taking the medication again I decided to check it's after effects because I was not getting better. To my surprise the medicaton had expired 10/2013 and it was sold to me on the 02 Nov 2013. I went to Clicks today to raise my concern and I spoke to Silas and he advised that as long as the expiry date is not over 6 months then there is no harm. I mean really?!!! how can you say expired medication is good? If it is good, why did he want to exchange it? And he also said that even if they take the stock back to the manufacture they will just put a new date as long as it hasn't expired in the last 6 months. I understand that he is not the one who gave me this medication, but i'm not happy with the response he gave me. I explained that I'm still sick and as a Pharmasist he should have been concerned. I'm seeing my Doctor this weekend and should I find out that I'm not better because of those Anti-biotics, I'm taking this further!!!
