Truworths in Menlyn has deceitful and MISLEADING advertising everywhere in their store. Literally everywhere are "EXTRA 25% off" inside the store by the sale items. After purchasing the items and realising I had NOT saved the hundreds of rands I thought I had, I enqueried as to why my total amount was so high to which I was rudely informed the signs were put up in preparation for Wednesday, and this was yesterday (Monday) and that there was a sign outside the store window stating this. Firstly, that little black sign is so small in comparison to the hundreds of RED signs everywhere, secondly I entered through the cosmetics section and then into the clothing store where all that is visible are the RED extra 25% off signs. This is absolute misleading marketing and there is no need to prepare for a sale of Wednesday on Monday (there was definitely no preparing as the signs were already up giving the impressionthe sale is on, no staff putting them up), it is not as if the extra sale signs in store say anything at all about Wednesday Only. As a loyal Truworths card holder, I feel completely cheated out of the money I would have savedhad I not been lured into this FALSE extra sale gimic.
