I am complaining about the Deli section of the Shoprite in Bothasig - on NUMEROUS occasions I have complained to the staff and to the manager that the cold deli meats they have on display are no longer good for selling or perhaps even consumption.
A whole bunch of cold meat is cut early in the morning and then slapped on the display shelf (with the counter doors left open to the elements and heat)
Salami is a vile brown color and looks dry
Ham is curling and has a shiny slimy looking texture and so on - you get the idea?
Now, I always ask, 'do you have fresh ham/salami you cut cut for me' even this seems to be a massive effort usually the staff disappear for 20mins or so to come back and say no or even better they usually just know exactly what they don't have in the cold store room. This request is quite entertaining, no matter who you ask the request is usually met with disdain and attitude and I'm sure if I could understand what is being said it wouldn't be too polite.
As mentioned, I have brought this to the attention of Shoprite Bothasig's manager and counter staff and to date nothing is being done, I will continue to complain until this is resolved.
