On Saturday, 26/01/2013 I was looking for a text book in Exclusive Books, Pavillion. When I left the store I noticed that my bag was unzipped in the front and that my cell phone had been taken. I went into the store to report it to the staff who were a white and a black lady (I do not know their names). All they could say was that they were very sorry for my loss. They did not offer to look on camera footage or call security but offered their apologies. This offered me no comfort whatsoever knowing that anyone could come into the store and from Exclusive Books' customers and that they shrug it off as an unfortunate occurrence rather than a traumatic experience. To make matters worse the shop is in such a state of chaos in the way it has been laid out with sales tables all over the show and the aisles are narrow with books everywhere. This makes it easy for a to sneak up and take your possessions from your bag without you realizing. I had left my name and number with the staff in the store and asked that they call me. Still heard nothing from them!! No security have been informed and this seems to be an accepted way of handling such situations.
