I don't like buying clothes, but once every few months I need to get stocked up. My store of preference is Markham. I have an account there and I pay my account on time and mostly in full. I would expect to have a pleasant experience when visiting the store - especially if I am going to spend money there.
Yet, it was to my utter disappointment that a particular gentleman at Markham Bayside Mall made me feel very unwelcome there. I was not offered any help or assistance even though I was the only person in the store for most of the time I was there. The worst of all was that he constantly checked over my shoulder to make sure I did not take "more than three items" into the fitting room.
I fully understand if there are any rules regarding this and I cooperated and never took in more than 3 items at a time. Yet, with me being the only person in the store and in full view of the personnel, it was completely unnecessary to show face only when I needed to be checked up on. It was particularly pointed out that the Guess jeans I wanted to try on had to be checked.
What a horrible experience! Not everyone is a. I am a loyal, paying customer and your staff need to be friendlier!
