My fiance bought my engagement ring at the end of April 2012 at Sterns Greenacres Port Elizabeth. In September 2012 my ring BENT while I was pushing my sisters baby's pram. I went to them with the ring, as it is within the first 6 months that I had it, I wanted a full refund, they said no it needs to be fixed. We were charged R580 for this repair, and I was told that there is NOTHING wrong with the quality and that it was NOT a manufacturer fault, but my own fault, as I am not looking after my ring. After 2 weeks the ring started to discolour at the bottom and actually had a crack at bottom as well. I took the ring back again, as I have a 3 month guarantee on the repair they made. I asked for the repair, but instead they gave me ANOTHER report telling that this is NOT a manufacturing fault. I took the option to have a second opinion. The jeweler I went to told me that this is DEFINITELY a manufacturing fault. After I told this to Sterns they didn't even bother to look at it. They fixed it again and TOOK AWAY my 3 month guarantee. My ring has now BROKEN at the bottom and they don't give a. I have lost any respect for them and my rings meaning is lost, as it is yet AGAIN broken.
