On Friday 11 October 2013 I wanted to buy Chelsea Buns at the bakery department at Checkers. I noticed that the sell-by date on all the buns (single wrapped) on display was 10 October. There were 3 ladies behind the counter having a very loud conversation. I got one of them to attend to me. I asked her about the sell-buy date, she took the buns one by one and simply changed the date to 11 October. How does this work? Do they simply change the date to make it fresh? This is shocking.
