I was with my mother today at Checkers in Heiderand, Mossel Bay branch. We were standing for over 5 minutes at the deli when my mother asked if no-one was going to help us. Everyone just ignored us. A white lady approached the counter and Althea jumped to help her. My mother just stated that she was there before her and the look she got from the employee made me angry. She totally ignored us then said very rudely and with attitude to the black lady next to her "help daai vrou daar". The way she said those words got my mother really upset. The blatant, disrespect and total disregard that was shown to my mother in that store got my hackles up. We went to the Manager, who confirmed he will call her into his office was not sufficient for me. At the end of the day the way my mother was treated by one of their employees are not on. Checkers should invest in sending their staff for training on customer care.
