On Friday 4 October, I collected items taken in for repairs and drycleaning from Levingers in Lonehill.
On opening the package, I noticed that the collar of a Lacoste shirt was completely frayed.
Well the penny dropped, I had taken a Gant shirt in a few weeks earlier for a button hole repair, and when I opened the parcel, the collar was frayed. I assumed that our housekeeper had damaged the shirt and I had not noticed when taking it in for the repairs, and the shirt was despatched to the charity pile. now, a second shirt with same problem. On Saturday morning I took both the Lacoste and Gant shirts back to the Lonehill Levingers branch to complain. I was met with verbal abuse and claims that "you lie". This took place with a shop full of customers. Well our housekeeper was in the centre shopping, and my wife went off to call her. She was met with the same abuse "you lie"Well I don't, and neither does she.
I am not stupid enough to take in shirts for mending where the collars are so badly frayed that I would never be able to wear them. I asked for a contact number of their head office (Tash) and phoned. Left a message on voice mail. No response. I demand an apology and compensation
