Blacklisted after clearing account

On the 15th of June 2013 I visited Edgars Stores at Festival Mall to settle my account with the transaction being processed through my cheque card. To date I have been haunted by calls first from their Head Office (emails exist even containing my Bank statement to EDCON HQ which they requested even after producing proof of payment from their stores) and now a Company called XDS has notified of Legal escalation by Edgars Stores. I need the matter resolved ASAP because my name has been listed for debt that I cleared months back.

Spoke to Mary Bila - Edgars Festoval Mall, Linda Montzinger - Query Specialist at MBD Credit Solutions and now calls from XDS advising of Legal intentions by Edgars on my account.

Had I paid in cash I would be in a difficult position even with receipts issued at the store they are failing to reconcile and clear my account leading to listing of my account. I am UNHAPPY with Edgars and yet they have the nerve to send me SMS' promising 10000 points if I spend with them.
