Still waiting for you to take my details!

We visited the above mentioned Woolworths on Saturday to buy two specific varieties of "Easy to cook" sauces, that we bought there about a month ago.
To our surprise, not one of the two were on the shelves. We called the manager to come and assist.
He came and looked at the shelves and informed us that the product was out of stock because it was no longer in the catalogue to order. It has been discontinued. He told me to wait, as he will come take my details and find out if any other branch might still have it and phone me. We waited and waited and later just left. I think I might still be waiting there if i did not leave the shop!
We went home, got onto the Woolworths website, and can you believe, both the products could be ordered online that was presumably discontinued! We ordered online, and it was delivered on the date we requested. Perfect!
I think that in future I will rather go the online route. Far less frustrating.
I just feel that if I made the effort to visit a Woolworths outlet, they should at least give me the service I deserve?
Maybe its just the "your just another customer" atttitude that angers me.
I will think twice before visiting Woolworths again..
