Beginning of July my Sony Soundsystem stopped working. Because of travelling I could only bring it in for repairs August 10. I was told the System was 10d out of warranty. I explained that I could not come in earlier but the person was not interested. I believe some courtesy would have been appropiated, as it is not at all a cheap system.
I was told it takes 15 days to get a quote and I started to call in after that time passed by. I was told mumerous times it would not be their problem as they do not get any answer from some repair workshop.
Only after numerous calls finally September 10, I got the info that repair would be costing R 1000 which I disappointedly accepted.
To the date of today they are unable to answer any question of when that system will come back. I am now almost 2 months without the System which I bought for significant money.
My next purchase will certainly NOT be any Sony (breaks right with the 1 year warranty) and less will I buy with Hi-Fi corporation. Truth about quality Comes only out with the aftersales service you are asking for.
Service in this case equals ZERO.
