I was shopping at Mr Price Woodmead this Saturday, and has the unfortunate experience of being publicaly humiliated by the security. Whilst in the queue to pay for my items, I overhead another customer saying that her phone had been. Pitying her, as I know from personal experience how she feels, I continued with my shopping.
As i was leaving the store, I amongst other shoppers were stopped by the security guards, and asked to open my bag and let them search me.
On what grounds do they have this right? niether did any sensormatics indicate that i had, nor did any cameras pick up any suspicious behaviour... why would i be stopped and embarresed in such a way?
I think this behaviour is totally unacceptable, and I am seriously considering legal action against Mr Price for defaming my character in such a way. Oh and by the way... they clearly did not find anything in my bag!
