On 11/09 I bought Cremora (scan price= R32.99 shelf price R27.99), bbq spice (Scan R23.99, Shelf R15.99) and chicken polony (Scan R37.99, Shelf R27.99). I did not realise the prices immediately after they were scanned. I was suprised when I got home to check my slip and saw those ridiculous prices I was charged. Luckily the cashier realised th polony price and corrected it immediately and I paid R27.99 for it. I complained on their website the same day but i didnt get any response. I wonder if they check the complaints on their website.
I went back on on Sat (14/09) and I was helped by Alfred when I when back to complain. He said the scan right guarantee only applies if a customer notice the price at the time of purchase and complains and he offered me a difference for what I was overcharged. To management, please ammend the guarantee and put capital letters... ONLY IF THE CUSTOMER NOTICE THE DIFFERENCE AT THE TILLPOINT, NOT AFTER THEY HAVE PAID AND LEFT THE STORE, because as it stands, the guarantee is a lie. I did not expect this from Pick 'n Pay. I expected them to apply the right scan guarantee the moment they realised their mistake. But maybe this how they treat their customers.
