Ten days from date of order & payment to dispatch

I ordered and payed for an in-stock book on the 02.09.2013, and it took 10 days for this item just to be dispatched, not even delivered. That means that I have had to wait more than two weeks for an in-stock item to reach Somerset West from Cape Town. I have ordered many items from Loot in the past, and never has it taken this long. I would like to know the cause of the delay.
