I purchased a lined trouser at Woolworths Kenilworth either late last year. I machine washed the pants, as the labels instructions says to machine wash. The trouser was so badly creased i could not wear it, I ironed it 4 times but to no avail. I then went to a reputable Laundromat and they advised that linen should be dry-cleaned and not machine washed. The trouser is ruined.
I went to the Maynard Mall branch in Wynberg and explained by situation. The sales lady then proceeded to insist that i bought the pants in 2009 as "that is what the label says". I know when i bought the pants! Having already established that the label is incorrect, i was not impressed. I suggested they check my account but this was not possible because" the system does not hold old data" - Ludicrous!! I have been a clients for many years and this is how they treat me?
THE LABEL INSTRUCTIONS ARE WRONG, now i am without a pants (which a wore ONCE only) and WW is shrugging it off.
This is not how Treating Clients Fairly works.
