Sell faulty goods

My boyfriend bought me a Coolpix Nikon camera for my birthday. It charged perfectly the first time, and it worked well for 3 weeks thereafter. However, it would not charge after that and I have therefore not been able to use it since. They booked it in to be fixed August the 23rd and said it would take 2 weeks. I am going on Holiday this weekend and would have wanted my camera. I am so sick of bad service and bad attitude...
Plus the lady who attended to me just booked the camera in, not putting it in a protective casing or anything. Disgusting...
