I shopped on the Woolworths online store for a gift for delivery. I selected the desired product and chose the available gift option. Naturally one would expect that upon selection of the gift option that the generally accepted norms in relation to gifts would be followed e.g. removal of the price tag.

However, the package as received by the recipient still reflected the price sticker. The recipient for whom this was a gift now therefore knows the value of his gift which I find to be grossly unacceptable. I do not think that the box providing for specifications need be filled with the requirement to remove the price sticker should one have selected the gift option. An additional comment is with reference to the packaging which is a Woolworths plastic packet. Once again one would expect something more presentable should one specify that it is a gift. Should this not be the standard practise as a normal consumer would expect for a gift and a gift from Woolworths which claims to provide its consumers with quality, the website must specify so to avoid misrepresentation.

I trust that the Woolworths team will rectify these oversights in order to retain their customers.
