Today I phoned Rosebank to asked if they had stock of the Nexus 7 Wifi. They said they did not so I went to Sandton City instead. When there they said they had stock, but it cost R2999 instead of the promotional price of R1999. I did not have a copy of the promotion so I presumed I made a mistake.
When I got home I found that the price of R1999 was correct and valid still the 1st of September. So I phoned the Eastgate branch and asked if they had stock. They said they did so I went there. When I got there I first had to how that it was indeed of special as they said it was R2999. They then went to check stock and said that unfortunately they did not have any. A bit annoyed as I had phoned to check but took their work. I asked if they could check if Greenstone had stock. They checked for me and said that they had 12.
I then drove to Greenstone and asked to buy one and was told they did not have any stock but was told to check Eastgate as they still had stock. The person there showed the stock numbers on his system.
I really don't know who to believe but despite spending a large amount of my time driving around Joburg and going to 3 stores I still without what I was trying to get.
