I was shopping at chilli lane Pick and Pay on the 1st August. I answered a call before entering the pick and pay and put my phone in my jacket pocket.
When i left the store i realised that I didn't have my phone with me. I immediately reported it to the manager at the pick and pay (Johan) including the security. Because of the incompetence with which the situation was handled, my phone was not recovered! Pick and pay staff had no idea how to operate the security cameras! What is the point of having cameras if there is no one that is checking or able to use it. This is really unacceptable, If pick and pay were competent to check the security camera at that time, i may have recovered my cell phone.
Pick and pay (Mary Johnson at customer service) said that I need to get a case number & forward some other doc to her and they wud claim from their insurance & try replace my phone.
No one had the decency to call me back to tell me that they weren't going to pay for it after having me run around giving them all the documents they requested. i have tried to contact her so many times without success. Unacceptable treatment. Pick and Pay shud be held liable for their incompetence!
