No stock on items on promotion on first day

Promotion for Finnish tablets started today so when I went to get it at my nearest store I was told they didnt have stock and havent had for some time before the promotion started.

Please tell me why big stores are able to waste our time and petrol driving and phoning around looking for products they just advertise??

Now I have to take off another day to drive out and collect stock IF they ever get in again!
