Bought a pair of boots on the 29 May 2013 for R550.00. Heel of the one boot came off on 16 June 2013 (18 days after I bought them). I returned them on the 19 June and was told that they had to be sent to quality control to access. Almost a month later I was told that they wouldn't replace or credit as it was due to wear and tear. I work in an office and had probably only worn the boots about 6 times in the 18 days. When you buy from Truworths you expect that you paying for quality (otherwise may as well buy for a Chinese shop), and not get fobbed off under the ruse of wear and tear. If the heel comes off within 18 days, surely this is a reflection of bad quality of the heel and not wear and tear! Last time I will be buying shoes from Truworths!
