Pick n Pay in Meerensee is a joke. The aircon hasn't worked in years which makes shopping an unbelievably frustrating exercise in 45 degree heat. There's never more than 3 or 4 cashiers open at a time, no matter how long queues are or what time of the month. Managers sit in a darkened office, never lifting their heads to see what is happening on the shop floor. I have a B&B and used to spend R2000 -R3000 A DAY at the store, I have now taken my business elsewhere. They couldn't supply me with cocktail sausages for more than a year because of a faulty sausage machine. This was even reported to area managers face to face, but why should they care about customer service. Pick n Pay, I want to say this today, do us all a favor, close your Meerensee store & give another supermarket chain who wants to make money a chance. Nobody in this suburb has anything good to say about you. It says a lot about a company who used to be on top in their field that Shoprite & Checkers have risen to preferred supermarket. Don't waste time with excuses, shape up or ship out -ASAP
