I purchased a scarf from Out of the Blue Knysna at Woodlands Boulevard in Pretoria on 2013/07/20. The next day (less than 24 hours later) I returned to the shop to return it since I was not happy with the item. I was then pointed to a hidden sign saying "No Refunds. No Exchanges on Sale Items." However, I wasn't warmed before hand of this policy. It was printed on the till slip which is issued AFTER you have already parted with your money. There was NO verbal warning. There was NO visible sign. The only sign is hidden behind a big basket on the counter and facing towards the person working at the till, so customers are not able to see it. Other shops with this policy (for example Accessorize) have a sign at the desk, at eye level, clearly visible before making any purchases. When trying to dispute with Out of the Blue Knysna they all hide behind head office and the owner. I spoke to the Area Manager and even she was passing the buck blaming the owner's policies. No one is accountable in this company or willing to help customers!
