I purchased a tumble dryer as a surprise for my daughter who normally places all her clothes on drying stands around her house and thought it would be such a great gift for her to have a brand new tumble dryer. WELL!!! I bought a Centre Point Tumble Dryer from Pick n Pay Greenstone Mall and it worked for a week and then sounded like a boeing 737 engine and didn't dry her clothes. She has been trying for over a week to get someone from Pick n Pay to sort out the problem... and they still haven't! Pick n Pay... you ruined the whole surprise because not only does my daughter now know what her "gift" cost but has also lost time and money being on the phone everyday begging numerous different people to sort it out!!! Finally, this afternoon they said they would be at her house at 3pm to fix it... by 4:30pm still no one had arrived and her boss says he's going to dock her pay for the cost of the phone calls and the time wasted at work as well as time taken off work! On the same day I bought the tumble dryer I also bought a flat screen TV and a fridge... let's hope nothing more goes wrong because then you'll have ME to deal with!!! Consumer Protection Act protects us from people like you!!!
