I went to Ackermans to purchase some clothing items yesterday [07/07/2013]. I paid with my FNB smart account card, however it was declined and they could not tell me why as there we sufficient funds on the account. I then pay CASH R300.50. This morning I got an SMS notification stating that Akermans debited my account [R300.50]. I called them Ackamans this morning and they told me to go to the bank get a statement, get ID copy, fax it. I don't have time to go to the bank and they know they have received the moneys in question. Why such a mission. And for the record, the similar thing happened at Ackermans in Greenstone. Their printer was not working and the told me they can only release the items if I go to the bank and get a statement that shows the amount I just paid.
