This passed weekend Edgars had a 99 hour sale (21 - 23 June 2013). My husband and myself were told by staff that we have to search for the signage and those will be the clothes on sale for R99. While I was shopping I saw signage with R149 as well. I made sure by staff that everything on the those specific rails were for that price as the original prices on the tags were still there and she said yes. I came upon a signage which stated: "Kelso basic work wear R149". On the rails there were pants, jackets, polo necks, etc. I chose the jacket. When I arrived at the point of sale they told me the jacket was R499. I refused to buy the jacket for that price as it was advertised for R149. The cashier told me the R149 are only for the pants. I told her that is false advertising as the signage doesn't state anything about pants, it said basic work wear. She went to her manager and came back with the same response. This is not the first time this has happened to myself and my husband and all the manager can say is "sorry" which doesn't cut it for me. I have encountered the same problem at Edgars Canal Walk. I am a very upset customer as this was false advertising!!!
