About 2 weeks ago I was in the Checkers Hyper branch and noticed that the Colgate toothpaste was on special for R4-00 ea. When I wanted to get some for myself the staff there took everything (one lady had about 20 tubes in her arms alone) I wanted some well but I was told it's sold out. This while almost the staff had toothpaste with them and no customers got any. I did complain on their website and eventually was told (by I think a Riaan person) that they agree with me and that staff is not allowed to do that as it's for the customers. He also told me that staff will not be allowed to do that anymore.
Yesterday I was at Checkers Hyper again and I saw that Omo was being sold for R20 per 2kg bag. Again I tried to get 2 bags for myself only to be greeted by all the staff taking everything once again. They don't even allow a customer to get a bag, they took everything once again.
This is the company with the worst customer loyalty I've ever seen. They make promises but still their staff does whatever they want. Next time they shouldn't waste their time by putting specials on the shelves, just give it to the staff, then at least the customers wouldn't know of it.
