There is a new credit law in SA?

I have been a client of Homechoice for a couple of months now. I have always managed to keep my account paid as well as I could. Unfortunately, I have now fallen in arrears due to financial difficulties, and boy oh boy, was that a mistake! I pay what I can (please note - I paid). I get about 5 calls a day from this arrogant incompetent company where my name has been handed to to tell me that the amount I have paid is not relevant (excuse me, why do we have a new credit law in SA??), and I have to pay the arrear amount! I think the amount outstanding is approximately R2000. Please believe me, I will pay this off as soon as I can, I cannot leave a country on this meagre amount, and I will NEVER buy from Homechoice again, and I will also not comment them to any of my friends. Thank you Homechoice for your understanding in this regard :(!!
