I bought a fridge 3999.95 and a bed 3499.95 at Maponya and the installment was 719 per month. The total amount that I owed was 12586.31 in May 2012 and I paid 719 every month till October when I noticed that the balance is still same its not going down. I went to enquire to Beares and also to ask them to make another payment plan for me since i was facing difficulties in paying 719 .They told me to fax everything to head office and I received an sms that I will be paying 395 per month. I continued paying 395 per month untill after I received an SMS that Beares have taken 395 from my account a consultant called me and told me that they cannot see money in my account. After 3 months they sent a statement on the phone but still my balance is 12265.The next month after deducting 395 they sent another statement it was 12234 meaning it only deducted R30 from all my payments. I went to enquire again in Beares and they told me that since I am payin 395 my balance rose up to 43000 including the charges and interests. Iam confused because initial balance was12586 but now my credit rose up to 43000 and worse still every month i paid my instalments since last year May until now. Plz help.
