Hi,
i have been a Woolworths account holder for ages, and although i have paid up many of my accounts i chose to keep woolworths open because of quality, Last year May i was elated to find out that i was pregnant after 7 years of trying, i went on UNPAID maternity leave and advised Woolworths that i was unable to make payments on my account, to which they advised to make atleast a payment of R 50.00 per month, i called numerous times to ask for banking details, or option to debit my account to no avail, but i received Notice of Summons for the outstanding bal of R 793.00. The Agency was most unfriendly, unhelpful and incompetent, if my bank can give me the option not to pay a bond or CC while on maternity leave, why cant a retail store do the same, Thank you for the service, but the collections agency has spoilt the reputation, and i will be settling and closing this account as well as other members of my family.
The collections procedure and being harassed by collections agents while having a newborn baby, is something i can never forget, and for that i chose not to shop at your store again.
