I received my statement this morning and noticed that my credit had drop by more than R6000. When I queried this at the customer care I was told I did not FICA on time before the deadline and a business decisions was made to drop my credit limit. I received a slip when paying on the 5 May 2013 that I need to FICA which I did on the 11 May 2013.
The agent told me that information was sent out on the September statements about having to FICA and via SMS, there is nothing on the statements for September or October about having to FICA before a certain date or they will drop your credit, and if I had received an SMS I would have done it?
What I do find funny is that on the bottom of my May statement it states: " on 19/04/13 your credit limit was decreased to R... due to a request received from yourself" I never requested a reduction and I would like proof thereof.
I have worked very hard to keep my good credit limit with Edgars and am furious about the decrease in my limit without my consent???
