Store Manager's Lack of Customer Skills

This afternoon, my Gran went into Checkers and dealt with Kumar Govender, regarding sour cold meat she had purchased at Checkers Sandton. The reason for going into Checkers Oakdene is my Gran had called the Checkers call centre and there she had been advised in going to her nearest branch. On meeting with my Gran, Kumar was extremely unresponsive and rather unhelpful. He did not refund, or credit my Gran, he almost insinuated that she may be lying. This to be is most unprofessional! A store manager with appalling customer service skills should be kept in an office and far away from regular customers! This is not the first incident where Kumar makes a loyal customer feel like a huge inconvenience - in December I purchased 'off' salmon, I was violently ill, I went to Checkers and complained to Kumar, I got the very same treatment, the response from him was as if I was a, I left with no refund or credit either. The final part of this complaint is regarding last year, when a teller tried to R100-00 from my Gran, my Gran discovered and when put to Kumar's attention, he dIdn't even serve my Gran with a courtesy call. To me this is pathetic behaviour! Something has to be done!
