I went to the store on the 1st May 2013 and purchased 4 items on my account. Cashier, Ntsikelelo Mkhize offered me a receipt to sign. He continued and offered me a 2nd receipt and when I questioned that he stated the first one I signed was for a credit limit increase. I told him that he did not ask my permission and that I did not want an increase and he trashed the receipt and stated that he will correct it. I purchased 4 items and he further broke that up into 2 separate transactions. On leaving, I asked him if he had corrected his 'error' and he stated that he will. When I checked the ffg day with the store they confirmed that the increased limit remained. I spoke to the manager, Mona, who stated that she had given him a wriiten warning and had counselled him. I also received a call from the call centre on the same day, stating that they were correcting my limit (to the old one) in consultation with me as the branch informed them of the problem.
I purchased at Edgars Pavillion yesterday and was informed that no correction had been made.
This is deceptive and underhand and I am of the opinion that the "call centre" had not called but the issue was resolved (staged) in the store.
