Yesterday i visited above branch to purchase some food items and baby food for my grandson. I noticed that the Nestle baby yogurt was advertised on special (big notice on the shelf) buy 2 and receive a free lunch box. I had no intention of buying two of these items but thought that the lunchbox could be used for his daycare and therefore took 2. At the till i asked the cashier for the lunchbox, she looked a bit confused and called the manager who was also not to sure and said he had to go and look. He came back and said that no sorry they have not received the promotional material. This i can still accept but surely if you do not have the promotional material you should not advertise the specials on you shelf and as a manager you should know if the stock has in fact been received. This begs the question: is this just a ploy to force customers to buy two products in the hope that when told there is no stock, will still keep both or was the stock perhaps received and distributed otherwise and not to the clients purchasing the products? I can understand a national promotion is advertised in the pamphlets and if no stock then no stock but have the initiative to then not dispay!
