I bought furniture on account on 11 December 2012, and I was told that there are delays in delivery since the stock was still to be manufactured (Maximum 4 weeks to deliver).
Since then, I did not receive any communication from @Home, indicating what would be the monthly installment, or when I will start to pay for my account. I only received an sms message on the 2nd January 2013, indicating that my account was overdue, and that I have to make a payment (they didn't even specify the amount). This notification came in late, and I did not budget for it so I replied and indicated that I can only be able to make the first payment end of January 2013.
Yesterday I received a call from one of the @home consultant telling me that If I only pay month end, i will have to pay double as the account is already overdue. I told him that I was never notified about the December payment, hence I did not pay, he then told me that if I didn't pay double, my account will remain over due.
I believe this is unfair because clearly, somebody did not do their job (No one informed me beforehand on when and how much I should pay).
Note: I have not yet received the furniture.
