I am a women living alone on a big property with many trees. Two weeks ago I looked out of my window to see an armed man climbing over the wall into my neighbours property.
I immediately phoned Chubb. It took them 18 minutes to arrive at my premises. The figure with the gun was long gone.
As you can understand that scared me tremendously.
I now try nightly, as I work at night, to get Chubb to escort me onto my premises. I phone them ahead of time and ask them to wait at my gate an escort me in. Many nights I am left to drive around in circles until they arrive.
Last night was when I realised I am not getting any assistance from Chubb. I phoned them and told them I will be at my premises at 23:10. I arrived at my gate at exactly that time and found no Chubb vehicle. I kept driving around phoning them and pleading for assistance. At 23:30 I decided to go to our local garage to wait there.
At 23:45 I decided that it is best to drive the 48 km back to Johannesburg to my office seeing that I felt saver. The guard phoned me at 23:50 telling me that he was at my house but I was not there.
I can not wait for them at my premises. There is not street lights and loads of trees.
