We signed a contract with ADT to install an electric fence at our premises in February 2010. The installation was never completed (the alarm on it never worked and 80% of the fence does not work). We paid 50% of the contract price and advised ADT we will pay the balance on completion. Over the past three years we have spoken to countless technical and accounts employees from ADT and the fence is still incomplete. We have now been advised that we will be blacklisted at ITC.
ADT has shown that they are not interested in resolving the problem (surely three years is sufficient time to complete an installation), but is insistent on being paid for services not provided. Unfortunately we now have no other option but to resort to the media to advise others of what type of company ADT actually is.
