I bought a vehicle in 2009 and signed a contract with Tracker then. In 2010 I purchased a new vehicle and moved my Tracker to the new vehicle. In 2012 I wanted to cancel my tracker account as I was about to buy a new vehicle. Tracker then notified me that I was still under contract and would end it prematurely and pay penalties. AandG as insurance came through and notified that they would take over payment for my new vehicle from Tracker because (I COULD NOT CANCEL). Now this is where the dodgy part comes in- Today I phoned again to cancel as I'm purchasing a new vehicle and looking at alternative insurance and they tell me that I only started the contract last year... So is this some method to keep customers bound for life? I am looking at renewing my contract again with Tracker or at least give me the freedom of shopping a little, but I must admit if they do not come up with the right answers they will definitely loose me as a loyal customer for the last 4 years. I have also not received any notifications on my tracker working.
