Account cancelled, but debit order not

First of all, I am unhappy with ADT because when I moved home and my security, they "renewed" my contract which meant that when I tried to cancel, I owed them a lot of money for the remainder of the contract.
I paid this money just to be rid of ADT and their shoddy service, since coming along 30-40 minutes after my alarm went off doesn't help me at all. Luckily those were never real emergencies.
So i arranged for it to be cancelled end of December. I phoned their call center and confirmed this.
And today a debit order went through for January.
I tried calling the general inquiries using the number on the home page (which is the emergency number) 4 times and they hung up on me 3 times before anyone even answered.
Please sort this out. I want my money back and finish all dealings with a company like ADT.
