Lack of Response to alarm and bad service

We were awoken early hours of Wednesday morning by a burglar in the house who grabbed a laptop and ran out. I activated the panic button expecting An armed response from Chubb, however 30 minutes later there was still no response. I then called the emergency number and it was confirmed that they received some code. I asked for a report as to why they did not respond, and was promised by the Area Manager that I will receive that report.

I also asked for a quote for beams outside the house. First I was told they are going for a Christmas Party so they will come the following week on Monday, they only changed their minds when I told them that it seems my security is no longer their priority but the Christmas party is, that if they do not come I am definitely canceling my contract. They came grudgingly on the morning of Friday 20 December, they promised that I would get a quote by email for the beams by close of business that day. To date, 24 December I am still waiting for the quote and the report on their lack of response. I made a follow up yesterday and all I got was a lousy explanation of their emails not working. Can someone tell me why I should not cancel the contract?
