Tracker is trciking people into 36mths contract

When I needed insurance, Dial Direct made appointment with Tracker Midrand, for a tracking system instatllation. I sold my car in July and to my surprise when i called tracker to cancel the system, I was told to pay more that R2000, equivalent to 14 months premiums.something about three years contract. when I installed they never expalined to me what installing their tracking system mean and I assumed that they had some agreement with Dial Direct as I wasnt even paying them direclty. How am I expected to pay for something I am not using? nor do I have access to. I think this is a trick that Tracker is using, tricking people into signing up to this long term contract without explaining to the clients before the installation and forcing people to pay for tracking system they are not using. I have even suggested that they activate a pre installed tracking system on my new car, but I was told I would pay plus R1000 for the transfer of account on top of the obligation to continue paying for the remaining 14 months. How does this make sense?
