We decided to change our armed response to another company and I personally handed back the radio transmitter to Bridget Schutte in March this year at their office in Paarden Island. I tolerated the first few invoices and phoned the accounts division and was told that R285 was the charge for their technician having come to our house to remove their transmitter. This is totally untrue as a Star alarm technician removed it and I told them that I handed it back personally and Chubb did NOT remove it. In August I finally lost patience and phoned Chubb accounts and said that this was tantamount to harassment and subsequently received an email from Christopher Weyers (Regional Credit Manager) apologising for the incorrect billing - but I continued to receive monthly statements showing a balance owing of R285. I warned Mr Weyers that if I received another one, I would post a complaint on this site and he assured me that he would personally ensure that this would not happen. I consider this harassment and I now understand why so many people are "" of Chubb. My next step is to file a charge of harassment at SAPS against Chubb.
