Early yesterday afternoon, my partner and I were about to leave my mother's house when we realised we did not have a tag to get out of the boom gates of the estate. The night before, we were let into the estate by my mother; who was in Centurion at the time -which is why she was unable to let us out. Generally, the security at Valley Close Estates and surrounds are very pleasant to deal with and have for the subsequent few years been very understanding in these kinds of situations. Because they know us and they know that my mom stays in the estate they usually let us in and out without much of a fuss.
However, yesterday when we arrived at the gate, we stopped at the visitors gate and asked the guard if he was able to let us out. He responded in foul tempered inaudible mono syllables, which boiled down to the fact that we had to back away from the gate and call my mother to come and open for us.
