Lack of CHILDRENS movies in school holidays

Point 1.: In school holidays, cinema in the middle of suburbia and there is only 1 movie that does NOT have and age restriction (which he has seen)
Point 2: On-line movie (Jack the Giant Slayer) says PG - I get to the box office with others only to be told that there is an age restriction. The ONLY other movie i can take my son too, he has seen and it has already been running for 30 minutes before we get there. I am then forced to hang around the mall until the others have seen the movie.
This is not the first time i have had this problem. Why are there not more movies in school holidays for CHILDREN
