Duration of previews inconsistent

Went to Rosebank last week to see PARKER. Every time I go to the cinema there, the duration times of the previews are different. This time, I arrive 2 minutes after the official time of the movie which should be just 2 minutes into the previews. There were no previews and therefore my friend and I missed the beginning of the movie... It's very inconsistent
