I opened my DSTV account (Compact Subscriber- R260) on the 22 Jan 2013. I was charged a pro-rata fee of R28 for the period 22 Jan 2013 - 25 Jan 2013. On the 25th of January, I had to pay R286 (R28 for the pro-rata and 260 for the Month of Feb). And I thought all was in order by this time.
After paying my R260 subscription on the 28th of February, I realised that my account was suspended. When I checked the Transaction history today (7-Mar) I noticed that I was charged twice for the Feb Subscription when I opened my account in Jan; My statement has 2 x R260 entries for the month of Jan (One on the 22nd and One on the 26th) and the R28 pro-rata I mentioned earlier.
I now owe R-216.67 and I need an explanation for this.
