Groupon deal, leaves a bitter taste

One does not receive the "Refundable" deposit of R149 back. So the groupon is actually R77 R149 = R226. Read the terms carefully. Pushplay doesn't give a that their groupon terms are ambiguous. Complaining to Pushplay does not help and their customer service isn't great. There is no way to actually speak to anyone directly.

The service itself wasn't bad, but a bit expensive for the actual number of DVDs one can get in a months period, (due to the inherent delays in the sending and receiving of DVDs). Especially when you take into account that you're unlikely to get your top choices very often and generally end up with DVDs on your B list. B list movies are generally available from DVD stores for very little, that is the sort of DVDs that you can get from DVD stores on their 7 DVDs for 7 Days pricing.
