We have contracted Jacques Smit to take photos of my son's christening event held in Kleinmond, Western Cape, South Africa on Sunday, 22 September 2013. The agreement was that he would take the photos and edit the photos afterwards.
It is now January and despite numerous attempts to contact him and e-mail him and various promises from his side that he will edit the photos (which is currently unusable in the existing format), still NOTHING has been forthcoming. He has done zero editing and has given us the phtos in raw format, which is totally unheard of in this industry.
We then offered him to repay us 50% of the money so that we can have the editing done by another provider. This he has refused with further promises to edit the photos. All of these claims can be substantiated by e-mail proof.
We now had to engage another photographer to edit his pathetic quality photos and to make us a photo book.
It is extremely disappointing but even more so because this was a very special moment in our lives and we have nothing to remember this by.
