Coca-Cola Dome refuses to release tips to bar staff who worked at the Sensation Innerspace event in September claiming committed by bar staff. Security for bar staff was poor where on several occasions individuals attending the event were only able to intimidate and threaten many of the staff members but also access items on sale by means of reaching over or walking behind the bar as security was minimal, resulting in. Entering the venue for staff was a problem as well as poor service delivery where the phone lines had not been maintained resulting in unusable card machines and inaccessible atm's.
Once an order has been placed the bartenders would decant the beverages and when approaching the client for payment, the client would be informed that the card machines were out of service. The decanted drink could neither be served or repositioned with new stock to be reserved resulting in losses of sales and stock disposals. The event was understaffed and individuals could not as much as leave to use the bathroom or get refreshments due to the sheer volume of the crowd, the event was in essence poorly prepared for by the dome.
Withholding tips from the bar staff is injustice.
